The bird in this painting is a Bee_eater flying over the thames with the backdrop of the city of London behind
It is the third in the Corona Series - these are a series of paintings more to follow speaking words of life over the country and the situation of the Pandemic
I painted this Live on a Zoom Call during the Pandemic, when it became normal to do meetings over zoom calls.
I researched and prayed for a few days over what I was going to paint. After talking to a friend I had a hummingbird in mind, however in the end the Bee-eater was the bird that came along my train of thought visually.
This was a strategic bird to paint over London and the UK as it is often called the angry bird. There was a sense that at that particular time we needed to have a determination and a anger towards this enemy called Corona. More can be said about this and you will be able to read more about it in a coming blog on my website and on my pattern page
